- Open https://vpn.jku.at in a browser of your choice.
- Log in with your JKU Username andJKU Password.
- Click on the 'Download for Windows' button in the center of the page.
- Download the file and open it to start the installation.
- Launch the client.
- Enter 'vpn.jku.at' and click on 'Connect'.
- Login with yourJKU UsernameandJKU Password.
You can verify that you are connected via VPN with the Cisco AnyConnect symbol (ball with padlock) in the lower right corner of the taskbar or by opening the webpage https://ip.jku.at. The IP shown should be from the network VPN-pool. - Any further VPN sessions can now be started without the browser by simply clicking the AnyConnect desktop icon.
- It is not necessary to log in via the browser again.
Linux

- Permission to load/activate the System Extension 'Cisco Anyconnect Socket Filter' → this can be done via 'Security&Privacy'

- Enter your JKU Username (AK..) in the 'User name' field.
- Enter your JKU Password in the 'Password' field.
- Click 'OK'.
- Tick the 'I trust this app' checkbox.
- To complete the installation, click 'OK'.
- The VPN connection is active when 'Connected' is displayed.
